Good news: Better weather on its way

As Britain recovers from heavy rain, snow and gales, forecasters are predicting the worst of the wintry weather is over. Isn't that good news?

The last weeks of raincall and days of transport chaos are over. After the snow a lot have experienced the floods. Last night, 64 flood warnings remained in place throughout Britain and the Thames flood barrier was raised to protect London from a rising tide. A Met office spokesman said: "It will be much quieter for the next several days. It will be a dry scene across most of the UK with light winds but below average temperatures by day and overnight frosts."
