Sleet and snow expected in London by tomorrowIf you are in London I urge you to look out of the window in the next few hours and watch the weather change.
It has been pretty exciting here in the London weather station considering last week we had the UK’s strongest earthquake in 24 or 25 years! Now, after a weekend of sunny weather but strong winds we are expecting some plummeting temperatures to bring snow and sleet. In fact temperatures are expected to go below zero tonight already! And then, blizzards are expected to hit London and the eastern counties by tomorrow. Since we are expecting some pretty cold winds from Greenland and the Arctic, it is likely that it will feel even colder than the thermometer admits! As London is always a little warmer than the surrounding countryside it is likely that we will experience sleet instead of snow – and even if we do get snow it is likely not to last on the ground. |
